The Story Behind My Patriotic Ice Cream Wreath

Some wreaths start with a color palette. Others begin with a ribbon I can’t resist. However, this Patriotic Ice Cream Wreath started with a smile.

When I began designing this Patriotic Ice Cream Wreath, I wanted it to feel like summer. I thought about fireworks, backyard cookouts, hometown parades, and ice cream on a hot July afternoon.

Instead of creating a traditional patriotic wreath, I wanted something playful and unexpected. As a result, the oversized ice cream cones became the heart of the design.

My favorite part of this Patriotic Ice Cream Wreath is the mix of sweet and patriotic details. The red, white, and blue colors feel festive. In addition, the ribbons and florals add movement and texture.

The ice cream cone makes the design feel cheerful and fun. also, every ribbon tail and floral accent was placed by hand. I wanted the wreath to feel full of summer personality.

Patriotic designs have always held a special place in my heart.  They remind me of family gatherings, community, celebrations, and the simple traditions that make summer memorable.  Creating a Patriotic Ice Cream Wreath allowed me to combine those cherished memories with a playful design that feels both nostalgic and unique.  Every detail was chosen to capture the joy of the season.
